The JR East-South Hokkaido Rail Pass allows unlimited rides on the JR Hokkaido Lines (Southern Hokkaido) and on JR East Lines (Kanto and Tohoku areas). Convenient for travel from Narita or Haneda Airport to the general Tokyo region and from New Chitose Airport to greater Sapporo. The pass even allows unlimited rides on the Shinkansen and limited express trains to move around Tokyo and reach destinations such as Aomori and Sendai. Also, enjoy traveling on the Shinkansen between Tokyo and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto.

How to make a seat reservation

Online reservation from this link or Visit a JR Ticket Office (Midori-no-madoguchi) or Travel Service Centre located in most major JR East stations, and present your JR East Pass to reserve a seat.

• **You cannot use express trains that begin at stations on Tobu Railway lines. You can only use the JR East-South Hokkaido Rail Pass on Tobu Railway lines if the train either starts or ends at a JR station.
  
  Please note
  • You cannot use the JR East-South Hokkaido Rail Pass to travel on the Tokaido Shinkansen. (Because the Tokaido Shinkansen is operated by a different company)
  • Gala Yuzawa Station only operates during the winter and spring.
  • You cannot use the South Hokkaido Railway Line.
