Product Details

The JR East Tohoku Area 5 Consecutive Days Pass allows unlimited rides on all JR East train lines in the designated area. Start with a trip from Narita Airport or Haneda Airport to Tokyo, for example, then ride around, and maybe aboard the shinkansen or a limited express to Aomori or Sendai. The JR East Tohoku Area Pass also allows rides on some non-JR trains in Izu and Nikko areas.

(Show your JR EAST PASS when shopping at participating stores in the area you will receive special offers (discounts, gifts, etc.))

Step 1. Register the FIRST PASSENGER

Fill out the details for the first passenger and click 'Add to Bag'.
★ Order of passport name does not matter
★ Do not change the quantity to add another person to your order.

Step 2. Change necessary details for the NEXT PASSENGER

Previous passenger details will remain from Step 1.
Change necessary details for the second person (e.g. name, nationality) and click 'Add More'.

Step 3. To proceed to payment 'Go to Checkout'

To proceed to payment, click 'go to checkout'
You will be directed to the Checkout page.
Double-check the passenger details under shopping cart, enter your email address and click 'Checkout' to confirm your order.
Once you've completed the above, you will be required to select your delivery options, complete the payment information to complete your order.
*You will also receive an Online Order Confirmation email and order status updates to the email address provided.

How to make a seat reservation

Online reservation from this link or Visit a JR Ticket Office (Midori-no-madoguchi) or Travel Service Centre located in most major JR East stations, and present your JR East Pass to reserve a seat.

This rail pass is available only for foreign visitors who enter Japan with a non-Japanese passport under the entry status of “Temporary Visitor”.
e-Ticket Exchange Order (MCO) is valid for 3 months from the issue date.
All prices are in Australian dollars and are subject to change due to the exchange rate.
Child (6-11 years old) rate remain 50% of the adult rate.

Abandoned cart and Unpaid Booking records will be deleted after 72 hours of transaction without notice.

Unlimited travel on local, limited express and express trains including Shinkansen trains on the following rail company lines:

JR East (incl. BRT*) Line
Tokyo Monorail
Izu Kyuko Line
Aoimori Railway Line
Iwate Galaxy Railway (IGR) Line
Sendai Airport Transit Line
Reserved seats in ordinary cars of the following express trains with through operations between JR East and Tobu Railway lines: Nikko, Kinugawa, and SPACIA Kinugawa trains.
You can also use ordinary trains (incl. rapid trains) on the Tobu Railway lines between Shimo-imaichi and Tōbu-nikkō / Kinugawa-onsen. Between Kurihashi and Shimo-imaichi, you can only use express trains that have through operations with Tobu Railway.**
JR buses in the area (exc. highway and some regular bus routes) *See bus map here
JR East Tohoku Area Pass is not valid for the Tokaido Shinkansen as it is operated by a different railway company
GALA Yuzawa Station is operated only in WINTER and SPRING season

**You cannot use express trains that both depart from and terminate at stations on Tobu Railway line. You can only use the JR EAST PASS (Tohoku area) on Tobu Railway lines if the train either departs from or terminates at a JR station.
